About Me

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan, specializing in Computer Architecture and Electronic Design Automation (EDA). I am advised by Prof. Nathaniel Bleier, with previous mentorship from Prof. George Tzimpragos. I am a proud member of the CCG research lab.

I received my B.Eng. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2023. During my undergraduate studies, I was fortunate to collaborate with Prof. Weikang Qian (SJTU) on stochastic computing and mixed circuits, and with Prof. Jieru Zhao (SJTU) on machine learning for high-level synthesis.

Feel free to reach out at allenjin@umich.edu for research collaborations or discussions.

Research Interests

My research focuses on computer architecture and electronic design automation (EDA), with an emphasis on hardware–software co-design for machine learning. I am currently working on composing chiplet-based neural network accelerators and on hardware–software co-design for application-specific processors.
